Job Skills:

Position Summary: Repair and maintenance of all equipment associated with golf course maintenance and landscape department.

Position Responsibilities
1.Lubricates and services all golf course and landscape maintenance equipment.
2.Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment.
3.Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies.
4.Repairs and adjusts equipment.
5.Maintains repair records on all equipment.
6.Assists in training maintenance staff in proper equipment maintenance methods.
7.Performs general overhaul of maintenance equipment.


Requirements:

Essentials Skills and Experience
1. Prefer individual knowledgeable about the fundamentals of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems and hydraulics.
2. Good reading and basic mathematics skills and a basic understanding of scientific principles are needed in order to learn important job skills and to keep abreast of new technology through the study of technical manuals.
3. Must have own hand tools.
4. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel,
crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25
pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Walking up to 2 miles daily may be required in certain job functions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; insect nuisance and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
