Job Skills:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Inspecting, diagnosing, adjusting and repairing mechanical defects/failures in various pieces of golf maintenance equipment. Repairing and adjusting engines and cutting units on various light and heavy duty mowing equipment. Keeping maintenance equipment fueled, oiled and lubricated on a timely schedule. Ensuring equipment is safe for use. Inspecting equipment for abuse. Complying with Safety standards. Utilizing the Parts Inventory Control System. This is a Local 1877 Union position.
Requirements:
Minimum qualifications: Must have solid preventive maintenance skills. High School Diploma or foreign equivalency. 3-5 years mechanic experience on gasoline, diesel and electric powered equipment, using standard mechanical repair tools computer parts inventory programs. Knowledge of proper methods for servicing golf course equipment, and the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment. Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs. Fluent oral and written English communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, parts inventory control systems and the internet. Prior golf course experience preferred.
