The month of August is busy for everyone with aerification still going on it means our grinders stay running and the temperatures just get hotter. With another successful meeting last month at Wesco Turf we had Kohler Engines in for some engine troubleshooting class. I would say it is one of the best educational seminars that we have had to date. This month we plan to also offer some great education as we will have Stephen Bernhard CEO of Bernhard and Company with us as he teaches us how to have "Better Grass for Less Money". Stephen speaks all over the world about turf and the importance of good cutting unit set-up and grinding practices and how that translates into savings at the golf course. The meeting will take place the 19th of August at Laurel Oak Country Club in the club house (please dress appropriately). The meeting will be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and will offer .7 CEU credits to those GCSAA members who need them. Also we would like to encourage everyone to register for the FTGA seminars that will be taking place in September. Next month we will not be having a regular scheduled meeting in order to support the FTGA conference. If you need more information on it please contact one of the board members.
